Being Unique through Christ

Put Jesus first.  Discipleship is the imitation of the teacher not just in his teaching but also in living.  Live like the master. Romans 8:29

Christ allows us to be who we are, liberates us from this world, but at the same time conforms us to be more like him.

Interesting how conforming to Christ is actually freeing and liberating us from this world.  God creating us uniquely.  2 Corinthians 5:17. We are called to be unique through Christ.

Teaching Christian Values

Our national identity is defined by our Christian believes and heritage.  Our founding fathers and the reasoning behind people moving to this land was for religious freedoms.  Christianity has brought with it the faith of one creator, free will, moral responsibility, freedom, and a spiritual connection to our creator through Jesus Christ. We can not continue to be America if we do not uphold these beliefs and teach our children these moral values.

Our educational system was founded on the idea that all citizens should be able to read, the Bible, and understand the political system of the country because they were active participants in the governing of this country, from the town level up to the federal level.  We have shifted our attention away from this and are now focused on preparing students for a college experience at the expense of losing our moral compass.

We need to get back to having a spiritual Christian foundation.  This is why we are are here, we need to teach our children these values to help them understand our history so that the mistakes that have taken place do not repeat themselves, so that they have an understanding of what is important in life.

We talk about what is import yet we continue to follow, we need to make a difference in the world in how we live.  We have been blessed with abundance, we need to stop living up to that abundance, and give back to the world.  Stop raising the standard of living, and living within our means.

Christian values provide hope, love, and peace for this country and the world.

The Constitution

Do you understand the Constitution of your country?  It is not just a document that dictates how the federal government operates, but it also outlines limitations of government on personal freedoms.  We need to fully understand this and understand who and why we are voting for and sending representatives to work on our behalf.  We also need to understand the purpose and the reasons for the decisions that are made and whether our representatives have the authority to make the decisions they are making.

When we give up our duty to be active in our our representation we jeopardize our freedom to govern ourselves.  God has blessed this country with the freedoms that have allowed us to prosper, not only from a financial perspective but more importantly the freedom of thought, speech, movement, and other personal desires.

We need to be more aware of our importance in those that represent us, we need to educate the next generation to understand the duties they have, and we need to hold accountable those that do not follow the laws that this country was and has been guided by.
