Moral Artificial Intelligence

Moral Artificial Intelligence (AI) is going to come from its creators.  If we do not instill this characteristic into the devices that we create as humans we they will not behave morally.

Take a look at Hollywood and what is portrayed on television.  The level of moral behavior is reflective of the moral behavior of the creators.  This will be the same for AI.

We need moral humans to create the content of stories in books, movies, and games.  We also need moral content added to robots and AI and this is done through moral humans.  Moral character is best gained through a relationship with God.  Without this relationship we cannot create the moral character that we what to pass on to the next generation or in the devices we create.

Lack of spiritual Depth on TV

I've watched a few episodes of "The 100".  As I was thinking about it this morning I was pondering the lack of spiritual depth.  I'm wondering of there are not spiritual people that write these shows in Hollywood?  Hollywood needs to bring this element back into the storylines.

Contentment

With contentment comes joy.  Joy is something that lasts.  Look for joy in your life

Russian Collision

Wow!  This story has gone on long enough.  The dieing mainstream media is covering this dead horse for way to long, but that is beside the point of this discussion.  At this point it seems that Russia has played a part in trying to influence our society through propaganda in social media.  The critical point is not that the Democrats are trying to tag Trump or that the Republicans are trying to tag Clinton in this mess it is the fact that as Americans we need to wake up and understand that there is more to the story.  We need to start waking up to the fact that foreign interests are looking for ways to break down our society.  Here are some practical things we need to start doing as a nation.

1. Look at our news through multiple news outlets, all of the mass market news outlets have become activists promoting one side or another.
2.  We need to learn our constitution and what the Bill of Rights stand for.
3. We need to stop having a victim mentality
4. We need to focus on our value through God's eyes

Beyond this the discussion that Washington needs to be having with the country is, yes we are under attack and we need to be more vigilant when it comes to what we are reading in any of the different forms that we get information.  It is not always true and we cannot be naive as technology improves methods of deceit will only get worse.  We need to be educated in what ours are trying to do and focus on our true values as a country.  Our founding fathers had it right, what they established was a framework to limit human tendency toward power.  We need to uphold these principles to maintain our union.

What Defines you?

What seems to be a hot topic now is how robots are going to take away our jobs.  Humans will be left with nothing to do.  Since our jobs define who we are there are going to be a lot of lost people.  Well I don't necessarily agree with this thinking.  We need to have logical discussions about this and as Glen Beck has been preaching recently, and bring "reason" back.  

As Christians we are not defined by our job but rather how God sees us.  When we have Gods perspective we can bring value to our life and discover why we are here.  God sees great potential in all of us no matter our weaknesses or our defects.  We all have potential to do great things in God's eyes.  

We are not defined by our job or our career but how we treat others.  This is manifested in how we are engaged in our community.  We need to look for ways to help others, our neighbors, the elderly, and the next generation.  We need to show God's love through our actions.  Let this define who you are, let this be where you add value, feel loved, and feel valued.

As we move into a future of robots and reduced "jobs" we will actually be entering an era of freedom that we need to take advantage of.  We will have time to engage with others, make an impact in the community around us.  We need to look for and leverage these opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus. 

Creating community in our lives is what God has programmed us for.

Class Levels Cannot be Eliminated

As long as we have different people we will have different classes.  Not everyone can be in the upper class.  After defining what class levels are.  There are no way that everyone can be raised to the same level.  As the lower classes are raised up, this just changes the definition not the fact they are moving to a higher class.  In order to move  from one class to another one must exceed the current standards of income through innovation.  How is this possible and why is this ok?

Here on earth we have different reasons for who and why we are.  If you have a Chrisitan world view being in one class over another class does not make you better than someone else.  God has created us with dfferent strengths, skills, and resources.  We are to use those to best of ability in ways that server the Lord.  We can get great joy from this method of thinking.

I will provide an example of my own life.  I am very interested in innnovation and creating.  God made me this way and I am greatful for this.  My brother is more a people person and can naogisate deals and has become very successful at doing this.  I do not envy him for this as this is not something I am intersted in. 

We all need to find our strengths and discover our purpose for being here.  Just because you haven't found it yet doesn't mean you don't have a purpose.  Keep searching and praying and you will discover your calling.  Do not let your "class" in society limit your purpose.

Husbands Lead

God designed men to lead their families.  God designed this to allow a special bond between husband and wife.  As I was reading through a christian girls magazine sitting on the table, it seemed odd how it was "talking" to teens about life.  One image struck me, seeing a girl with her bible in her hands looking at and walking up to a illustrated church.  This seemed wierd to me because she was walking up to it along.  Like she had to do this on her own, she needed to figure this out on her own.

We have strayed from the idea of a man leading their families.  The idea that we can be independent, we don't need anyone else is a isolation technique that Satan uses to erode the fabric of the Christian faith.

There are factors, as a progressive society, that have added to this erosion.  Some of these factors are an evolutionary progression and some are intentionally promoted for various reasons.

God created the bond between a man and a woman and to help facilitate that bond we need to understand and reevaluate the roles that our modern society has dictated.  Men need to take on the responsibility of leading.  (This leadership role has been watered down by the feminist independence movement which has shifted the "Overton Window" to make this more accepted in our society.)  This lack of leadership has caused a lapse in the responsibility that a man has to his family and has reduced the value of masculine leadership.

As an example of this relationship, men are no longer required to be the spiritual leaders of the home.  Why? The wife can now do this, she does not need to depend on her husband to lead this area.  So it comes down to expectations, we have dropped the requirement for men to step up and lead.  If a man no longer has this expectation he can fall away from how God designed him, which in our world of distractions, is not hard to do.  He can then go and pursue other interests while his wife goes to "church".

We need to change this expectation.  It is not ok for the man to not lead his family.  We need to reestablish this as righteous and critical role that he plays.
